Calorimeter Analysis

Main Applications of Bomb Calorimeter Analysis

  • Bomb Calorimeter is the technology that is widely used by the industries to determine the amount of heat released in the particular combustion reaction, the calorific value and sulfur content of any solid or liquid material and volatile fuels. It is known as the constant volume calorimeter because it holds constant volume and oxygen at given pressure. The sample that needs to be tested and measured is placed in a sealed vessel and ignited at a particular pressure in an atmosphere of oxygen. The resulting rise in temperature is then measured to determine the amount of heat released and energy of the sample.
